Kevin Figes – Wallpaper Music

A return to the wonderful Rockfield Studios for this, my 2nd album working with Kevin Figes and his great band. This was one of the most complex recording jobs of my career for a number of reasons – the bass player was shielding due to the pandemic so had pre-recorded some bass parts, the music itself was a combination of tightly orchestrated and scored sections combined with improvised and in some places completely free playing by the band, time signatures changes were liberally scattered throughout and there was even one track where each band member was given their own unique set of spoken instructions over headphones whilst improvising together. All in all and intense 4 days tracking, but the results were superb, you can find the album here on Bandcamp:
